Vire offers the visitor its ruined castle, its impressive clock tower and weekly Friday market.

Festyland, a theme park for all ages and a great day out for the family at Caen.

Two local Zoos, Jurques and Champrepus (better for the smaller children as there is less walking involved).

Bayeux: with the world renowned tapestry and impressive cathedral, is definitely worth a visit.

Le Mont Saint Michel: although a real tourist trap, it is a must for all visitors to the area. This spectacular pilgrimage site with its ancient abbey also offers the bird-watcher a wide array of wild sea birds.
